Summer is here or almost here for some, and it's time to hit the beach or pool! As a mum of two boys, I know how important it is for kids to have comfortable swimwear that they can play and move around in all day. That's why I founded Little Ocean Heroes - a sustainable swimwear brand that focuses on creating high-quality, long-lasting swimwear for both kids and adults.
One of our biggest challenges has been developing the perfect boys' swim shorts. We've spent countless hours researching and testing different fabrics, textures, dimensions, mesh linings (a notorious pain point for boys!), colors that need to last against sun, chlorine, saltwater exposure and even color changing features! Our goal was to create a pair of shorts that not only looked great but also felt amazing against the skin. We wanted them to be durable enough to withstand rough play at the beach or pool while still being breathable enough for those hot summer days.
After much trial and error (and many happy swims with my own little testers), we finally found the perfect combination of fabric texture, dimension, mesh lining quality as well as colorfastness for our boys' swim shorts.
